No one must cross ‘Lakshman Rekha
In his address, the Prime Minister urged the people of India to stay home and added that social distancing is the only option to stay safe and stop the spread of Coronavirus. No one must cross ‘Lakshman Rekha – “Remember, the virus infected person initially appears to be normal and doesn’t show any symptoms. So maintain precautions and stay at home, social distancing is the only way to fight this virus. Come what may, do not leave your house, he said.
Tackle This Challenge and Emerge Victorious
He also showered praise on Indians for making Janta Curfew a success and leading by example. “The one-day Janta Curfew showed how we Indians come together and fight against any trouble which comes before the country and mankind. The 21-day lockdown period is a long time but this is important for you and your family’s safety. I believe that every Indian will tackle this challenge and emerge victories in this time of crisis,” he said.
Rs 15,000 Crore To Fight Covid-19
The Prime Minister also announced that the Central government has allocated Rs 15,000 to fight the pandemic. This will help in strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in India and increasing the number of beds, testing kits, PPEs, ICUs, Ventilators and also training professionals to combat the disease.
Pray For People Risking Their Lives
In his address, the Prime Minister also urged the nation to pray for the people who are working while putting their lives at risk. “ Remember the doctors, nurses, paramedics, pathologists who are working day and night to save lives, hospital administration, ambulance drivers, ward boys, serving others in these tough times.If we are not able to manage the upcoming 21 days of nationwide complete lockdown, we will be pushed back 21 years.”
Stay Away From Misinformation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called upon the nation to stay away from rumours and misinformation in connection to the ongoing Pandemic. He urged the people to stay home and follow the advice of authorities.
